The right Christian business for the Christian should be assessed from two perspectives: one, you are a Christian and two, how you exercise the morality of your faith in everything you do. Keep in mind that you are a Christian and that your search for the right Christian business should focus on serving others in a business that supports your beliefs.

With serving and morality as your guide, what gifts do you have? What are you good at? What are you passionate about? Try to dig out your true passion. In seeking the right Christian business for you it helps to have a starting point. Next, ask yourself “why do I want a Christian business? What will a Christian business do for me, versus, just a non-Christian business?

A few possible suggestions could be: your Christian business maybe a tool to share your faith with others; or to hire non-Christians perhaps with the opportunity to witness without words. It could be a way to put other Christians to work.

In choosing the right Christian business it is important whether you want it to be online, or offline (local). There is less upfront cost online than offline. I am only assuming the hard work part based upon the fact that most people who are interested in making money online now, have probably not done so before and so will have very little by way of experience. Money has received a bad rap for years. Let's get it straight, money cannot think for itself. It is not a living being. It's not the money that is evil, it is the person who possesses the money and what they do with it. That is the evil. I wonder how many have been carrying that money script in their heads totally unaware they even think like that?

I was raised under Christian instructions and way of life. I remember hearing Christians, including the Pastor say money is the root of all evil. Didn't really pay much attention. All I knew money was good to buy that ice cream cone, soda, or lollypop. Who cared that it was evil.

As you grow older and experience the real world, you quickly realize that it is not the money, it is what people will do for money that is evil. The evil men and women do with money is endless: everything from buying sex, to buying and selling babies, drugs, murder, pornography.

Who are these folks who proclaim evil money, yet go to work to earn it everyday, need it to pay off their debt, to create a lifestyle of comfort?

My First Money Making Web Site

It’s true people can make money online chasing everyone’s ideas, buying their products or services. It didn’t work like that for me. Come to think of it, I’ve never tried to get rich quick because I don’t expect something for nothing and I believe there is a mindset change which creates success.

I wanted to make money on the internet so I kept reading, gaining wisdom and knowledge. I realized it was a new playing field that was promoted as the tool to riches but I didn’t know how to work it, or trust it.

Admittedly, I took my entrance slow. Like most I thought having a web site would guarantee traffic… not so. I had the products and the services but it wasn’t working. I bought other people’s ideas to get traffic but that didn’t work for me.

Along the way, I heard about writing articles and posting on sites like ezinearticles.com to attract traffic Tedious.. But I decided, what the heck, I’ll try it. I watched ezine articles go from a puppy to a Big Dog, laced with Google Ad Sense to build clout with content freely given and it wasn’t paying me a cent. “Clever idea,” I thought.

I remember signing up for Authors den.com, placing articles there. They were getting the traffic and little old nobody “me” was making no money and not getting enough traffic to add up to dollars. My ideas were bombing out.

After little to no success, I decided to just start some where, and I did. This way I would learn what works and what doesn’t. I was skeptical because the Internet was a new experience. I thought, “If other people are making money on the Internet, so can I.”
I began my first blog. I wrote a few articles. Traffic came but not enough to generate even a penny.

I went back to the Internet to see what else I could do. I discovered Ad Sense. There were some great tips which led me to increase my page count to at least 25 and build from there (click here). Traffic and money started to increase within 90 days. The interesting thing I discovered, even without the key word focus, my blog posts were catching interest. Now that my content numbers are up, I am seeing a steady climb even when I am lazy about adding new content. It is exciting. I am adding more blogs on topics I enjoy sharing.

Along the way I have discovered that I didn’t have to write all of the content, and that by adding a few affiliate products, complimentary to my blog, that I could add additional income. Nothing happens overnight. There is work. Since articles can lack warmth and personality sometimes, I like to do personal content, plus personal intros even to other people’s articles.

7-Powerful Lessons Childhood Challenges Taught Me About Business

“How am I going to pay for boots, batons, uniforms and fees, I barely have enough for us to eat,” a single mother of four said.

I had come home excited for the first time ever about an extracurricular activity. I paced the floor waiting for mother to come home. I couldn’t wait to tell her that I wanted to be a twirler.

Those quoted words could have turned me off to any future opportunity had the vision I caught of myself marching on the football field during half time, not been so convincing. Instead of being discouraged I began to think of ways to make my vision come true. My mind went to work, “What can I do? I’m a teenager. . . baby sit, chores, beg other relatives.”

I called my uncle and said, “I’m your baby sitter for the weekend. Where are you going?” he laughed and said, “Okay, niece, you got it.” I asked neighbors and relatives what I could do to help them. I cast my desire before visiting relatives and each time before they left they added to my earnings.

I had a desire to be a twirler, and my mother couldn’t afford to pay for what I needed, so I took action.

I refused to allow my mother’s deficit to affect what I wanted to do and where I wanted to go. Instead of accepting her position and give up, I was willing to do something about it. I decided to hire myself out using what skills I already possessed.

My goal was to earn enough to buy what I needed to be a part of the twirlers. I refused to accept “can’t” and decided “I can.”

Problems can force action and birth a business. The mind takes an idea and goes to work to figure out how to make it happen. Few will step up to the plate and swing at the curve ball thrown at them; most will throw down the bat and say, “I quit; I can’t do it; you’re not fair”; give up in despair because they think who they become depends on whether they have the support of other people, or whether others believe they can.

The day I made one-cent on my web site I was excited. Maybe that doesn’t excite you but it did me. I had been trying, trying, trying, trying, trying, trying. . . you get it. Finally, with Ad Sense I started to see pennies make dollars.

Now I’m learning to work the affiliate products. My first lesson: affiliate e-books are not always good quality. Because I have encountered this too many times, I now read what I am interested in promoting. Also,I want products to be in keeping with my spiritual beliefs,things I am passionate about, or have interested in. I look for products that can add value to a person’s life in some way.

I find Clickbank.com a good resource for affiliate connections. I do my homework: browse the sellers affiliate link, examine the web site looking for value and customer experience and any backup support (articles, site content), to get a feel for what my customers can expect, and to get a feel for the seller. “Is this something that can help the customer, or just hype to get their money?”

It’s funny how life’s happenings force us to make different decisions. We can sit and wait on something to happen or we can get busy and make something happen. Are You Suffering From Money Paranoia?

I was reading back over some of my journal entries in 2008 and 2009. These were tough times financially. President Obama had just taken office and the crunch was on. I just wanted it to be over. I guess you could say I had money paranoia.

I made this term up. The way I would explain it, when your money has dwindled down to the point all you can see is your losses. Lost house, car, homelessness, children in foster care.

Maybe you have never had money paranoia. You wake up in the morning thinking about how less money you have and how are you going to stretch it. It seems impossible where you sit. These are times you ride the tide, hoping for a breakthrough.

If you are not careful money paranoia will zap the life out of you, consuming your every waking moment, causing you to break out in cold sweats, or to feel the tension. You’re stressed. No doubt.

You think of all the things you could have done when the money was free flowing. You wonder whether someone has cursed your finances, if you are a Christian; maybe they got jealous and sent an evil spirit to drain off your finances, or maybe God is punishing you.

Many things go through your mind when you are suffering from money paranoia.

I wonder what would happen if you stopped for a moment and thought about how to get yourself out of the problem, rather than focusing on what you don’t have and having less and less.

Thoughts grow and grow. So what are you thinking of right now. Is it, why doesn’t she get to the point? Or how is this going to help me?

First of all, until you know what your problem is, you cannot fix it. It’s impossible. No wonder you can’t get out of your circumstances. Too much thinking about the wrong thing.
First, before you let your thoughts dump your house, car and bank account, stack up all of your failures, why not take a true look at your money picture. What is the problem? You can go ahead and write that down.

Is the problem not enough, because you are not making enough, or that you have not spent wisely?

Admit your fault. It won’t do you any good to lie to yourself because if you do your money paranoia will keep the thoughts flowing. You messed up. You weren’t paying attention to your spending habits, were you?

Stop beating up on yourself. Stop feeling guilty. It’s over.

Here is the tough part. You need to know what your problem is. Not enough money, more month than money?

Regardless of which way you answer, whatever you are doing right now to earn money is not bringing in enough to keep up with your lifestyle. Are you willing to change your lifestyle, habits, wants, delay gratification, never to have money paranoia again?

That is a decision only you can make. Now it’s time to analyze your lifestyle habits. What are your habits? Is there something you can cut back on for a little while to get yourself out of this mess?

We are talking about getting rid of your money paranoia here, aren’t we? Now if you like this monkey on your back, then don’t bother to continue reading this blog. You guessed it, attitude is everything. If you operate with an attitude of defeat, then you will be stuck in your mess for a long time.

You can defeat your money paranoia. Stop letting thoughts pile up, negative thoughts that is. Make a list of what your problem is. Look at cutting back on lifestyle habits. If you are not bringing in enough, either work more hours, cut back on spending, or get a part time job.

Only you can make that decision. Evaluate each expense, one by one.

Your other choice would be to work an extra job. Some choose this options because they don’t want to cut back, or they can’t figure out what is most important to their financial survival.

In looking at your expenses, you may discover that you are spending enough for cable to pay off a bill. So if you cut off the cable, you could re-direct that money to began to pay off at least one bill. Your lunches outside the home could be eating up a considerable amount of money that could be applied to drive down your debt. Take a moment and add up how much you spend a day, week, a month. You are probably surprised at what you eat up a week with no return. Try taking your lunch.

Just about everyone drinks water. There have been a few people I have met over the years who do not like plain old H20 and prefer flavored waters. That is their choice.

But let’s talk about the street vendors who sell water for a living. Don’t laugh! A friend of mine started telling me about his bottle water goldmine. He would go to the local wholesale food warehouses, like BJ’s, Sam’s Club, and purchase a few cases (24 bottles to a case) of water for around $2.78 each and sell the bottles for $1.00 each.

Water vending in certain cities has become big business. Some companies will even place your label on the bottles to make your own branded package, but that is a little too expensive starting out. Make some profit before you get fancy. Buy cheap and markup for profit.

This is how my friend did it: he bought the water, ice, plus a cooler, then he identified the nearest busy street to where he lived and off he went. His tip was: “If you are in hot weather, wear a long sleeve white shirt. Once it gets wet it keeps you hydrated. Add a straw hat and comfortable light weight shoes. Carry a fold up chair so when you take your lunch break you have some place to sit.

Money Tip For Today: Grow African Violets

I love to growing things. Right now in my backyard I am growing Water Melon, Okra, Palm Trees, a plant called Purple Showers and a few more unnamed plants that friends keep giving me but I can’t remember the names.

Outside of what I grow to eat, I have dedicated this hobby to charity. Maybe that might be an idea for you. But if you want to grow things to sell that would be an excellent plan. I try to choose plants that are easy to care for and are not temperamental.

I chose the African Violet because it blooms nine months out of the year, and I like the idea of having flowers. They don’t like direct sunlight, so I place them near a window but not in a way to receive full sun.

I happened to be in Indiana at the supermarket when I spotted these plants. They were already sporting beautiful blooms. I couldn’t resist that deep blue. Plus the price was right.Where I live I would have paid $2.00 more for a smaller plant.

On the ride home two leaves broke off so I decided to use them as my test leaves. I took a piece of aluminum foil, placed it over a glass, poked holes in it and stuck the two leaves in it.

Within a few weeks I saw little roots. I waited to see about 5 or six and then I stuck them in dirt.

Once I got over that hurdle I took my three plants and cut leaves from them, not too big but medium sized,Once I cut the leaf from the plant (called propagating), I then cut it again in a slant, placed it in a root grow compound, stuck the leaf in the dirt and waited on the new growth.

Those three plants yielded about 22 plants. My investment was about $14.00 up to that point. I bought about 25 cups from the dollar store, plus the same number of sandwich bags to cover the cups to keep the moisture in. I purchased regular garden soil.

The new growth became visible within a couple of weeks. I gave it a little more time so that instead of one plant, that I would be able to double my output from those 22 to about 66 seedlings.

I have about 66 plants happily growing, and the start of a business opportunity for under $30.00. Before I jump and invest too much, I want to make sure how well I do raising African Violets.

When the plants are filled out, I can decide whether I want to sell leaves by mail, using priority mail, the individual plants in decorative pots, or sell them to others who just want to have flowers year round, or who like to surround themselves with plants.

Just like any business you start, the profit starts low and grows. If this is not it, then find something you are passionate about.
